Do This:

1. You are not allowed to go to the mall today. Whatever it is - you don't need it enough to deal with the insanity of the mall on the 24th. If Santa doesn't come through with whatever it is you think you need to buy, just think how much cooler your kids will think you are when YOU give them the items Santa forgot. Buy it next week. On sale.

2. Smile at people. Strangers too. Wish them, "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Holidays." It will make you feel good. Promise.

3. Go for a Christmas walk or hike tomorrow. (Weather permitting.) This is my favorite holiday tradition from childhood, and the one DH and I most love sharing with our children.

4. Remember the reason for the season. For most of you, like me, it will be the miracle of God's love and the amazing gift He gave us... but if not, family love and spending time with your loved ones is a nice second.

5. Have a Merry Christmas!
